WORKPLACE INJURIES
Companies need highly skilled workers to run their business.  As technology changes the look of the workplace and the types of injuries we are seeing in businesses today are
rapidly changing.  While most businesses think in terms of back injuries, overuse syndromes and injuries caused from physical exertion, the injuries of the modern day
workplace are becoming more and more varied.

As the American workforce grows more sedentary and the work we do less physical in nature, the injuries companies are experiencing with their employees are also
changing.  Many workers today will sit at a desk or workstation for hours on end.  This makes them more susceptible to position related injuries, and issues such as carpel
tunnel.  In addition, workers are experiencing more health related issues such as heart attack and stroke because of the stress and sedentary nature of their lifestyles.

While many innovative businesses have realized that the workforce today is different than the one of a decade ago, making the changes to keep up is not always easy.
Following are some tips for workers to try to make sure they are optimizing their health by ensuring their jobs are not making them more prone to injury:

*Reposition yourself as frequently as possible.
*Get plenty of exercise away from work.
                                                           *Keep well hydrated.
*Avoid eye strain by having good lightening.
*Proper posture eases neck, shoulder and back strain.
*Stretch often to avoid carpel tunnel issues.
*Eat right and maintain a healthy weight.

Workers need to be prevention minded to ward off injuries and health related problems.  Employees wh have experienced work related difficulties have found that recovery
from injury or illness is an expensive and time consuming process.  The best time to deal with an injury is before it happens.  If you or someone you work with is
experiencing work related pain, it is better to deal with it early before it becomes a chronic problem.
