TIPS FOR LIVING LONGER
While there is not ultimate guide to living longer.  There are things that people who live long and
healthy lives have in common.  If you are in a rut, and feel like your health and lifestyle are in need of
readjustment, the following tips may help you to get your life back on track.  Just improving a few of
these areas can help improve both the quantity and quality of your life.
  • Drink at least 8 glasses of water a day.
  • Take a multivitamin.
  • Avoid alcohol and drugs.
  • Eat fruits and vegetables every day.
  • Sleep on your side to reduce apnea related wake-ups.
  • Exercise at least three times a week.
  • Only use caffeine in moderation.
  • Limit naps to 30 minutes to 1 hour.
  • Have regular physicals.
  • If you smoke, quit.
  • Spend time outdoors.
  • Check your smoke alarms and carbon monoxide
    detectors.
  • Do not multi-task when driving a vehicle.
  • Keep a daily routine.
  • Maintain a healthy weight.
  • Laugh and spend time with friends.
  • Plan all travel in advance.
  • Get regular dental checkups.
  • Remain calm and try not to sweat the small stuff.
People today are living longer.  Genetics play a major role in life expectancy, but so do lifestyle choices.  
The Center for Disease Control reported that in 1920 the average life expectancy was 54, while today it
is age 78.  If you really want to live longer, your attitude and your behaviors can make a difference.  
While all change is hard, make the decision today to start changing at lease one of your behaviors, then
